Our Programs

Skilling and Retooling

Under the skilling and retooling program we have designed thematic areas of equipping People With Special Needs with sustainable skills with an aim of curbing the dependency syndrome from the donations. We envision to train these people in soft skills that can feasibly create jobs such as hair dressing, tailoring, book production, making soap, yogurt production and confectioneries .

After the skilling projects which will take a period of 6 month for each cohort , we will issue out certificates of merit to the students and start up capital in form of machines and other fixed items rather than income to enable them kick start their enterprises hence sustainability

Advocacy

Under this we hope to partner with already established legal action platforms for PWSNs to advocate for rights for PWSNs. To a bigger extent most PWSNs are faced with court cases ranging from civil, family , domestic violence from their partners and end up not receiving justice at the end of the day.

We envision through Probono services , these will be able to receive justice. In the line of infrastructure we are envisioning to increase the synergies in advocating for ramps and provision of accessibility to PWSNs on both private and public buildings .

Medical Camps

90% of People with Special Needs all have health ailments that require regular monitoring and treatment . However most of these come from poor families without any help or assistance to get the regular medication. To add on that most PWSNs are stigmatized in Government hospitals where they would even access some free pain killers.

We are to run medic camps on a quartely basis addressing a region in every quarter of the year. With the availability of adequate funding, we will then roll out quartely medical camps in each region . We hope to partner with Makerere University School of Medicine to conduct these medical camps.
